[Good News] The Rice Crisis is Over! 5kg of Rice Drops to ¥3,590; New Harvest Rice Plummets to ¥3,000 LOL

Finally, it’s here. For the past few months, rice has been disappearing from supermarket shelves, leading to what was dubbed the "Reiwa Rice Crisis." It seems that supply is finally catching up!
Rice that was once considered a luxury item at ¥3,590 for 5kg is finally returning to a fair price. Furthermore, with new harvest rice hitting the ¥3,000 mark, both farmers and consumers can breathe a sigh of relief.
In light of this great news, I’ve summarized the reactions from the netizen community.

Rice dropped to 3590 yen for 5kg; new rice hits 3000 LOL
You guys can stop that foolish hoarding now lol.

>>2
Finally back to normal. What was with that insane price hike? lol

>>3
Still expensive. It was around 1800 yen for 5kg this time last year. That's nearly double.

>>4
>>3 It was way too cheap then. The current price is the bare minimum to keep farmers from going broke.

>>5
3000 yen for new rice is totally acceptable. Time to go grab some stock.

>>6
I went to the supermarket yesterday and they had piles of it. I wonder how those people who were frantically hoarding feel now lol.

>>7
The hoarders are probably the biggest victims. They bought at the peak, and now prices have crashed. They can't complain lol.

>>8
The media should apologize for hyping up the shortage. It caused unnecessary panic.

>>9
In the end, it just proved that Japanese people can't survive without rice.

Finally, peace has returned!
At the end of the day, panic buying was the main fuel for the fire. 3000 yen is a safe price point, and now we can finally enjoy some curry rice in peace.
Make sure to manage your stock properly, everyone! Don't get baited by hype and start hoarding again lol.
